Terri has been tutoring my daughter for 5 weeks now in preparation of the SAT exam in June and within this time; my daughter has improved close to 350 points over what she scored on her PSAT. Terri is very patient and detailed in her explanations. My daughter is very comfortable working with her. I have had a tutor working with her in the past and although that individual was very bright and did help my daughter, she was very tough on her. Terri has a very sweet demeanor and does keep my daughter focused in her sessions. My daughter has a learning disability so the reading and writing aspects of the SAT are challenging. Her best subject in school is generally math. Terri has spent time with all areas of the SAT to work on getting my daughter’s score up. Terri is very thorough in writing her review of the weekly sessions which is helpful for me to know what they have been working on. She is very organized with each lesson and in reviewing the homework given, she works through and provides clear explanations of the errors made so my daughter understands better. Terri has written a blog mentioning literature in preparing for the SAT exam which is very useful. In working with my daughter for the SAT preparation, I believe it helped her apply what she has learned in her sessions to her schoolwork. History has not been a subject my daughter has done great in - usually scores in low 80s which is still pretty good. However, last week my daughter received her history final back and she received a 92! She has never done so well in history. Science she received a 100, another subject that she's done moderately well in but this time scored perfectly. I believe this is a result of the work she has been reviewing with Terri. Again, I'd like to mention Terri is very patient, she is very knowledgeable and she has a very sweet demeanor. I wholeheartedly recommend Terri as a tutor. I strongly believe my daughter is on the right track to doing well on her SAT exams (she will be taking one in June then again in the fall). I appreciate Terri’s attentiveness in the work with my daughter and most importantly, making my daughter feel comfortable during their sessions. Terri is awesome!

I took the GMAT; after working with Terri, my score went from the 72 percentile to 91 percentile. My experience with Terri is extremely positive. The GMAT is not about cramming; it's about practice and repetition. However, the former and latter are only as good as the material you are using. Terri was able to go through practice exams and isolate the exact things I needed to work on to get my score up. She provided me with specific subject areas, lists of practice problems, and "need-to-know" points I should focus on. Terri also follows up with thorough notes AFTER your session, so you have a written plan forward; she's also extremely quick to respond and communicative outside of the normal "yes" and "no." In sum, Terri gives you plan to execute, which, in my opinion, is the most useful help for the GMAT.
